A little about me:
Hi, I’m Jackie, a mental health therapist by trade and a passionate financial literacy advocate and the founder of Financial Literacy Lab. I’m not a financial advisor or planner, just someone who took control of my financial future and wants to help others do the same.
In 2021, a friend helped me open my first IRA and choose two index funds. Seeing my money start to grow was a turning point. Since then, I’ve invested nearly $100,000 into index funds and ETFs, building portfolios with an average return of 9%. I learned everything I know through books, blogs, podcasts, and hands-on trial and error.
What I discovered is this: investing doesn’t have to be confusing, and it shouldn’t be reserved for the wealthy or the well-connected. I created Financial Literacy Lab because I believe everyone deserves the tools, confidence, and support to invest in their future.
