Financial Literacy Lab
Financial Literacy Lab (FinLitLab) was born from a passion for educating women about the power of investing. I believe financial freedom and a secure retirement are achievable with a few simple, intentional steps. My mission is to make investing feel easy, accessible, and empowering by breaking down complex financial concepts into clear, digestible guidance. Through community, education, and support, I help women build confidence, grow wealth, and take charge of their financial futures.
FinLitLab offerings will be posted here until it lands on it’s very own website!

I’m not a financial advisor or planner, but what I’ve learned over the years is that you don’t need to be an expert to start investing. Opening an investment account and buying index funds is simpler than it seems, and anyone can learn how. My goal is to make this information accessible, digestible, and empowering so you can confidently take control of your financial future.
Why Work With Me
Because I get it! I’m a small business owner who didn’t figure this stuff out until my mid-30s. Society has led us to believe that investing is only for the rich or the experts — but I’m living proof that isn’t true.
I learned everything I know through books, podcasts, articles, and a whole lot of trial and error. Now I’m passionate about making investing feel accessible, digestible, and even exciting.
Let your therapist-turned-investing-enthusiast teach you…not some stock-market bro or overpriced financial advisor!
Why Investing Matters?
Investing is the only way to build real retirement savings. When you invest, your money has the potential to double every seven years through compound growth. When you only save, your money actually loses value over time because of inflation.
Investing doesn’t have to be complicated — it can be done in five straightforward steps.
Investing isn’t just for the rich or the experts — it’s for everyone. I’ll show you how to start investing so you can build financial independence and retire with confidence

A little about me:
Hi, I’m Jackie, a mental health therapist by trade and a passionate financial literacy advocate and the founder of Financial Literacy Lab. I’m not a financial advisor or planner, just someone who took control of my financial future and wants to help others do the same.
In 2021, a friend helped me open my first IRA and choose two index funds. Seeing my money start to grow was a turning point. Since then, I’ve invested nearly $100,000 into index funds and ETFs, building portfolios with an average return of 9%. I learned everything I know through books, blogs, podcasts, and hands-on trial and error.
What I discovered is this: investing doesn’t have to be confusing, and it shouldn’t be reserved for the wealthy or the well-connected. I created Financial Literacy Lab because I believe everyone deserves the tools, confidence, and support to invest in their future.
