ONLINE THERAPY FOR TEENS IN OREGON

Online Therapy Just for Teens

For teens, the process of therapy is simple: You want to be heard by someone who wants to listen. I want to hear what you have to say.
I offer support for teenagers looking for a steady space in a complicated world.

Therapy designed

for teenagers

Are you looking for a safe space to be a little bit reckless? Where you can actually be honest about the things you’re thinking and feeling? Well, you’ve found it. I do therapy a little differently because I believe in showing up with a radical lack of judgment and meeting you where you’re at. Whether you’re feeling vulnerable or just looking for support, finding someone who can be real with you in this increasingly complex world can be exactly what you need.

The last couple of years have been a lot for all of us but you and your peers have taken the brunt of the loss while continuing to move forward in a world trying to hold you back. Are you feeling more anxiety than you know what to do with about the state of things, or even just the state of things within you? You don’t have to sit with that on your own.

Being a teenager comes with a lot of

responsibilities and pressure

You’ve got choices to make and your peers, the digital world, and your family all have different ideas of what those decisions should look like. Online therapy designed for teenagers can help teens find solutions to every size question they may need to ask. Big or small, we can handle it all together

You want an honest space to show up and feel supported, where someone’s going to answer your questions and help you take your next steps with confidence. I want therapy with me to be that space for you

Counseling is right for anyone

who wants to be there

People of all ages access therapy to help them get through the rough moments in their life. Sometimes people ask for therapists to help them solve a problem, navigate complex social situations or family dynamics or to get support while overcoming something in particular.

Teenagers, more than most, have a lot going on both inside and outside their inner world.  It might feel like, sometimes you’ve got too much feeling to keep it all inside of you. Finding a therapist who is ready and willing to dive into that mess with you and discover the important bits and what deserves attention can help you live life with more clarity

Here are some of the things I can

support you with:

  • Home life

  • School

  • Sexuality and gender identity

  • Plans for the future

  • Moods and emotions

  • Drugs and alcohol

  • Extracurricular activities

  • Social behaviors

  • Bullying

  • Friendships

  • Dating and relationships

  • Judgment-free safe space

Navigating a complex

inner & outer world

During your teen years, you might feel a lot of pressure to make a plan for what comes next in your life. But how are you supposed to decide what you want to do with your life when you have no idea what’s in store? Every time you make a plan, there’s a plot twist no one saw coming. You’re feeling the strain of constantly re-evaluating, adjusting and changing your own expectations while you try to meet the expectations the world seems to have for you too.

Let’s be honest, that’s a whole lot on its own and we haven’t even touched on the weirdness of professional schedules, personal independence and so much pressure to have all the answers. It’s understandable that you might be feeling a little (or a lot) out of sorts and ready for some relief in managing all this stress.

What you might want to talk about in therapy

From childhood, I often had questions that it felt like no one was ready or willing to answer.

Do you have questions too?

Whether you are asking questions and no one’s answering or wondering about things you’re not ready to ask, therapy is a safe space to explore whatever is on your mind. Whether you know exactly what you want to talk about or you just want a consistent place to go and feel like someone’s hearing you in a way your friends and loved ones may not be able to, therapy is good for that. We can work through specific struggles or just tackle whatever shows up. You can’t get it wrong- this time is yours to use however you like.

Ask Me

Anything

You’ve got questions and I want to make sure you’ve got the space to ask them! Here are just a few of the questions I get the most.

  • In addition to supporting you so that you always know there’s someone in your corner, I can help you with things like anxiety, depression, self harm, dating and relationships, OCD, mood disorders, self-esteem, sleep issues, ADHD and eating disorders.

If you’ve got something in mind that you don’t see here, please ask!

  • If that’s what you need! Therapy with me is whatever you want to make it. From adding goals and tools to help you cope with daily life to just getting a space to vent without consequences or having to face me at the dinner table, we can make our time together into the session you need.

In addition to talk therapy, we can try EMDR, yoga, breathing exercises, and other coping tools.

  • Though I am an adult now, I will never shake the feeling of helplessness I had when I was a teen. I often felt like I had questions that others wouldn’t answer. Other times, I just wasn’t sure who to ask.

I wanted someone to help me feel safe and listened to in life. Everyone deserves to feel heard and I want to be an open-minded therapist for teens who feel that way now.

  • Mindset matters a lot. While it’s important that you show up authentically, it’s also great to be proactive in caring for yourself when we’re not in session so that you can access your thoughts and feelings when the time comes.

Get the rest you need before school, work and therapy. Think of how you want to care for your mind and body, and get ready to grow!

Ready to Get Started?

While teens are doing an incredible job of normalizing conversations about mental health, the pandemic made it difficult for you to feel like you had a space that’s just yours. Our sessions are your time to reclaim that space in whatever way you need.
